Description:
On the shorter side for an elezen, Fox has a broad, muscular form from a life of hard work on a ship. Odd scars litter his skin, not the least being a very intentional pair below his pectorals. But while he can and does wield a large axe with ease, he is a relatively mild-mannered man and takes as easily to books and spellcraft as he does marauding.Really, if not for his manner of dress and Lominsan accent, one would hardly guess he was a pirate at all and not a carefully schooled diplomat. Outside of combat, he acts with the composure of a man who is intimately familiar with Ishgardian manners and traditions - though that's not to say he actively adheres to those rules.Fox is, at heart, an idealistic man who chafes at tradition and authority, unafraid of taking the reins and forcing change even though he does not glory in the attention doing so brings. He chooses his words carefully and effectively, favoring brutal honesty paired with an unfaltering, unreadable smile.Backstory:
Born with a different name, Fox was the first child of the Perrault family, a lesser noble house that worked mainly in service to House Durendaire. Growing up, he was curious and outspoken, taking easily to his lessons both in the classroom and in the training yards but frequently clashing with his more traditionally minded teachers and peers. He did, however, get along quite well with the Durendaire heir, to the point that they were nearly inseparable, a fact that had his parents hoping to arrange a marriage (though those hopes were dashed fairly quickly when he came out as a boy and adopted the name Felicien). Regardless of parental machinations, the two boys were close friends and were rarely seen apart from each other for most of their early teens - including when they signed aboard a doomed ship under false names to see the world at age 14. Tragically, both the Durendaire and Perrault heirs were lost at sea only a few days later when their ship was overtaken by pirates.Curiously, it was around this time that two ambitious 14 year old boys were conscripted into the Kraken's Arms under the names Carvallain and Foxglove.As a WoL:

Ysayle DangoulainWhile their initial meetings were understandably rocky, he came to understand and respect her, even if he disagreed with her past methods. They are tentatively friends.

Y'shtola RhulWith a wry sense of humor and a respect for boundaries, she was the Archon that Fox warmed up to the fastest. He now counts her as one of his dearest friends and often comes to her for book recommendations.Making fun of Thancred is a bonding activity.

Lyse HextWith neither of them even remotely interested in talking about their pasts, the two formed an easy rapport early on. Their friendship is based mainly on telling outrageous stories and comparing fighting styles, which suits them just fine.

Thancred Waters"Don't be such a silly little boy" is basically how Fox felt about him during ARR, even if he was barely older than Thancred. That fond exasperation morphed into a quiet respect during the events of Heavensward.

Riol Forrest♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♡Living in La Noscea and occasionally dealing in information himself, Fox already knew and respected Riol prior to his recruitment to the Crystal Braves. Of all the Scions, he's the one Fox is most likely to drink with and - due in no small part to his sense of discretion - the only one he's lain with.

Leofard Myste♥ ♥ ♥ ♡ ♡After the Dragonsong War, Fox found himself in the Sea of Clouds and just so happened to chance upon the Redbills. There's more here but I am tired so this is a WIP.

Cid Garlond♥ ♥ ♡ ♡ ♡While the attraction's certainly there and the two get along swimmingly, Nero's lingering presence is a bit of an elephant in the room, so Fox has firmly decided not to take the first step.As it is, they are dear friends.

Talith FaucheuxWhile Fox was "the" Warrior of Light during ARR and Heavensward, his subsequent embroilment in Ishgardian politics had him taking on less and less work for the Scions by the events of Stormblood.So, Talith stepped up. The reclusive duskwight had been working with the Scions since mid-ARR and, like Arenvald, also possessed the Echo, so it seemed the right thing to do. This, combined with his quiet confidence and deadpan humor, immediately gained him Foxglove's respect and support.They consider each other friends, even if they were not particularly close prior to both being called to the First for the events of Shadowbringers.(Co-WoLs)
